Kids matter to Jesus, and they matter to me.
Hey, I'm Jared!
I grew up in the North East of England, serving in kids ministry with little training, few resources, and no real support. I know what it feels like to love kids, believe in the calling—and still feel completely alone.
Today, God has given me the privilege of helping leaders who feel exactly how I once did. Through local encouragement, consulting with churches across Texas, and speaking at conferences nationwide, I help churches build kids ministries that are healthy, sustainable, and joy-filled.
My heart is simple: to encourage, equip, and excite kids ministry leaders and volunteers—so they can confidently reach the next generation with the gospel.
My Career
The Lord led me from teaching high school mathematics (my undergraduate degree—and yes, I still love math!) into Kids Ministry, and it has been a joy ever since. I currently serve as the Kids Ministry Pastor at Parkway Hills Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, and am soon completing my degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I have been honored to work alongside the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and Lifeway Christian Resources in training leaders and volunteers in Kids Ministry.
My Family
While I may say I moved to Texas for the fajitas or brisket, the real reason is my incredible wife Kaicee. She grew up in north Texas and she is what drew me here! We connected as we taught a Mothers Day Out preschool class over a decade ago. Together we have two wonderful kids, David and Magnolia.
We're happiest when we are together. We love cooking and eating, drinking coffee (just us adults, though David enjoys his warm milk "coffee"), watching football (soccer) or hockey, and spending time outside.
